Hey Girls!
My absolute favorite month of the year is here, December! It is the month of parties, presents, family, friends, LOTS of fattening food, and Shopping (Hello Somebody?!) I thought about writing to all you beautiful women about the usual stuff such as, don’t forget to put the Christ in Christmas, or it is more blessed to give than receive. However, you know all that stuff and if you are like me, you are very tired of hearing it so, I thought I would write to you all about something a tad different yet, very relevant.

I love listening to people talk, and something I am hearing quite often from the woman population is that they cannot wait to have a MAN! Lately, I have heard this frantic wish even more often as Christmas love songs echo through the malls and mistletoe has started appearing in unsuspecting places. Even I have thought about how different this Christmas will be for me; it will be the first one in many years in which I have not had a guy hanging around inhaling pies and cookies and eagerly anticipating opening presents.

As this Christmas season approaches, remember also that you are in a season. Be joyful of the privilege to be in a season of singleness. Let Jesus be your Man this December. Spend extra time with Him; spend extra money on Him! Late at night when you are all by yourself and your whole house is filled with the blackness of night, turn on your Christmas tree lights and sit in front of the tree with Jesus. As you watch the lights blink and shine, let Jesus hold you and love on you. It will be one of the best presents ever.

As for you ladies who already have amazing men in your lives, as you honor them with presents, hugs, and kisses to let them know how much you love them, I challenge you to spend just as much time and bestow even more love and honor on the other Man in your life. Remember, your significant other is not yours but God’s. Thank Him for sending and entrusting you with such a wonderful gift.

Oh yeah, Merry Christmas to all the guys who secretly read Girl’s World. (We know you’re out there!)

     Happy Holidays,
          Natalie R. Wood
