In this month’s i2i, we check in on an area
ministry “Release” and their leader— Chad Sasser. The guy has a
real heart for Christ through this ministry... The Link: Chad Sasser: Well, we officially started December 7th,1999 as RELEASE...the vision for this ministry is to disciple and release college and career people to do TL: What do you think Release has to offer to the C&C people of Southeast Texas? CS: This is a good question since not one week goes by that I can't escape the question of "what is relevant?" So I really like to emphasize on two main things...meeting social needs by staying real and relational as well as trying to get away from the view that many unbelievers have towards the church....that many Christians are condemning. TL: Do you feel Release's mission is to minister to the lost, or are you trying to bring a new ministry to those already involved in your church? CS: I would say that of course our mission is to always be reaching the lost… but since we are a fairly new ministry my first mission is to reach out to those at FCF.… I realized one day that I have to first reach the people at FCF before I can go reach the lost.....because these lost people would eventually be a part of the body. TL: How can I get more info. about Release? CS: Release is every Tuesday nite @ 7:00 p.m. We are located across the street from Freedom TL: Thanks Chad, we look forward to helping Release in any way we can.
