Can't Take The Pain

Raise your hand if you have ever been through a time in your life that for no reason at all, life just sucks.

If you haven’t, well, jump in, the water’s great. In this roller-coaster life that we all live, it seems that sometimes that brief period of excitement that occurs between times of hardship is what we live for.

We suffer through emotional, physical, relational, and even financial battles just waiting for the next chance to forget it all and coast through life for a while until the next dramatic situation. Sounds pretty sick but that’s why we are here, to fight the battles and rejoice in our victories, until the time comes for us to move forward in this war we call life and take on the next battle. When Jesus came to earth he came in the form of a man, so that he could feel all the pain and suffering that is possible for a human to take. He suffered to the point of death to prove that when you can stick it out, and keep your trust in God, then He will be there for you. So as for the times when life seems to be testing your faith, and all you want is an answer to “why is this happening to me”, then just remember “ The teacher does not give out the answers during the test.”

No, I didn’t see this one coming
It suddenly snuck up on me
I can’t say you didn’t tell me so
I can’t say you didn’t warn me
I can’t take the pain of knowing that I left you
I can’t bear the shame of knowing I was wrong
But I’ll take the blame for everything that I’ve done
I can’t take the pain of leaving you alone
Of leaving you alone
I was there when they accused you
But I guess I was too afraid
Not just once and not just twice
But tree times I denied your name
I never thought I’d get even a second chance
But you’ve given that and so much more
And then for every time I ever did deny
You ask me if I love you, You know I do, Oh Lord
So I’m off to follow in your steps
It won’t be easy, it’s safe to say
There are only two roads I can walk down
The road less traveled is the one you paved
Lord, You took the pain even though I left You
And You took the shame and You made it all Your own
Why’d you take the blame for everything that I’ve done?
Lord, You took the pain
You and You alone, You and You alone
