Rodney Barnett: As my personal spiritual growth in Christ develops, more effective ministry will follow. It is our hope and goal to train and disciple local churches in neighborhood evangelism in an innovative and effective way.

TL: What do you think UHM has to offer the area's young people?

RB: Urban Harvest Ministries (UHM) offer our areas young Christians an opportunity in street preaching training, inner city evangelism (Block Parties), and mission works to the poor (Homeless in Beaumont and Mexico's poor).

TL: Do you feel UHM's mission is to minister to the lost, or are you trying to bring a new ministry to those already involved in their own local churches?

RB: UHM has a dual message of stewardship and salvation:

A. Stewardship - To the church that the people discover their gifts and callings and go and operate in them. - Get out of their comfort zone.

B. Salvation - To the lost who attend church, to the lost in my circle of activities, to the lost of a different race than mine, to the lost in the utter most parts of the world.
